In the streets of the harbour that is packed with people all year round you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or a refreshing cocktail or even have a meal in one of the numerous taverns and restaurants that offer both local and international cuisine. Then, continue your walk and see some of the city’s most important sights such as the Megalo Arsenali (Great Shipyard), the Neoria (Shipyards) and the Yali Tzamisi Mosque. The Old Venetian Harbour is an ideal destination at night as it is at noon.
For culture or sports fans, Kriti Hotel is definitely the place to stay. The Eastern Moat Theatre is opposite the Hotel on its north side and the National Stadium of Hania is right on the next block on the south side of the hotel. Various cultural and athletic events are held there all year round and particularly in the summer. The National Stadium of Hania is also available for those of you who wish to go jogging in the morning, play football or basketball with your friends.
